50th Over
Thanks for following our coverage today. These sides meet again tomorrow in a Twenty20 match starting at 10am local time. We'll be back at Allan Border Field for that.
Konica Minolta Queensland Fire 6/351 - Fields 150 (129), Hollis 68 (77), Jonassen 54* (24), Bulow 40 (47) defeated Cripps Tasmanian Roar 9/213 - Hall 95 (105), Barsby 3/49 (10).
Queensland recorded a comfortable victory on the back of some great batting. Jodie Fields was brilliant for her 150 and took the game away from the Roar. She was very well supported by Hollis with some good hitting at the end. The bowlers did the job.
Tasmania showed plenty of heart this afternoon to bat out the overs but they never challenged the massive total. Corinne Hall was great for her 95 and deserved a century. They will need to work on their bowling, fielding and running between the wickets!
M.Phillips - 8* (14), K.Fryett - 1* (3). Unbeaten 10th wicket partnership of 6 runs.
Over 49.6: Barsby to Phillips, FOUR, down the pitch and drives in the air through wide mid off to finish the game. TAS 9/213 (Fryett 1, Phillips 8)
Over 49.5: Barsby to Fryett, one run, down the pitch and drives to mid off for a quick single.
Over 49.4: Barsby to Fryett, no run, flighted ball pushed into the covers.
Over 49.3: Barsby to Fryett, no run, defends with a drive back to the bowler.
Over 49.2: Barsby to Phillips, one run, drives back down the ground to long on.
B.Hepburn - run out (Kimmince/Barsby) 1 (4). FOW 9/207 (49.1), 9th wicket partnership (Phillips/B.Hepburn) of 3 runs. The last batter is Katelyn Fryett.
Over 49.1: Barsby to Phillips, no run, OUT, dabs the ball towards midwicket and there was never a run here. Hepburn turns back but it's too late as Kimmince flicks it to the bowler
