Match Result: Commonwealth Bank Vic Spirit 3/418 (Villani 173, Cameron 128, Morrison 1/55, Peate 1/61) df. South Australian Redbacks 219 (Ebsary 111*, Morgan 31, Lamb 2/33, Binch 2/33) by 199 runs. Points: VIC 5, SA 0. POM: Ellyse Villani (VIC). See ya!
Lauren Ebsary played a lone hand with the bat for the Scorpions, scoring more than half the runs with a century, but she was outplayed by a player of the match performance from Villani who almost achieved the WNCL record with 173 runs.
They broke all sorts of record scoring 3/418 from their 50 and then bowled well to restrict the South Australian Scorpions to 219 runs, 9 runs short of the bonus point. The win was never achievable for the Scorpions and they never looked like chasing it.
A crushing victory for the Commonwealth Bank Victorian Bushrangers by 199 runs here at Camberwell Sports Ground, they've just missed out on the double bonus point but have claimed the bonus point in a superb all around display with the bat and the ball.
