20th Over
I look forward to being with you again on Sunday morning at 10.00am local time where hopefully we will see yet another game fought out to the very last over. Bye for now cricket lovers!
We were certainly entertained by a very exciting close game of cricket, and going by that game we are in for a good weekend of cricket. Tomorrow they go on to fight out a 50 over game, followed by another T20 on Sunday morning.
Well there is no doubt about the Player of the Match as Kym Perren the match referee announces the SA Scorpians skipper Lauren Ebsary that honour. With her well made 50 and her bag of 5 wickets, which was all the wickets taken for SA, how could it not be?
Over 19.2: Schutt to Page, FOUR, little bit too wide and the ball is cut easily to the gully ropes. Quick finish that looked like, what was going to be, an exciting finish.
Over 19.1: Schutt to Page, no run, thats better as Page plays and misses
Over 19.1: Schutt to Page, wide, not a great start with a wide down off side
19th Over
Exciting finish here with 5 runs to get off 6 balls
Over 18.6: Ebsary to Kafoa, no run, hat trick ball but no chocolates for Ebsary as it is defended back. TAS 5/114 (Kafoa 0, Page 1)
Over 18.5: Ebsary to Da Costa, no run, OUT, a lovely straight ball cuts in toward the stumps and does her a cropper and the bails fly.
Over 18.4: Ebsary to Hall, no run, OUT, tries to turn this ball to leg, misses, and a big appeal is given.
Over 18.3: Ebsary to Page, one run, quietly pushed to square leg
Over 18.2: Ebsary to Burns, no run, OUT, digs in a yorker and only manages to dig it out herself but unfortunately in the air to mid wicket where a diving catch is taken.
Over 18.1: Ebsary to Hall, one run, guides to a backward deep gully and they get the single
18th Over
Over 17.6: McGrath to Burns, no run, straight drives this past the bowler but the stumps do the fieldings. TAS 2/112 (Hall 1, Burns 18)
Over 17.5: McGrath to Burns, two runs, crunches this ball through covers
Over 17.4: McGrath to Burns, FOUR, picked up that very nicely outside off and gets it once bounce over the backward square leg boundary. Great shot.
Over 17.3: McGrath to Burns, no run, cuts to point
Over 17.2: McGrath to Burns, two runs, lofts this ball deep and is taken on the bounce at long off
Over 17.1: McGrath to Burns, no run, plays and misses outside off
