10th Over
The Commonwealth Bank Victorian Bushrangers defeated the XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls by 10 wickets at the Gabba. Thanks everyone for reading and we'll do it all again soon.
Victoria 227 (Wade 89, Siddle 54, McDermott 3/45, Cutting 3/47) & 0/48 (Quiney 25*, Rogers 21*) def. Queensland 149 (Hastings 4/41, Siddle 3/36) & 125 (Pattinson 6/32) by 10 wickets. Points - VIC 6, QLD 0. MOTM - Pattinson.
The 112 run partnership between Matthew Wade and Peter Siddle proved the turning point in the match. Both individually batted very well but together they steered Victoria to a very good lead in great bowling conditions. That gave them all the momentum.
The conditions favoured fast bowling but there were runs in the pitch for those who worked hard. Victoria's all-Australian pace attack in the end proved too strong with James Pattinson especially today ripping through the Bulls and is Man of the Match.
A comprehensive 10 wicket victory for the Bushrangers at the Gabba. It backs up a 10 wicket win at the WACA in their first match to leave them unbeaten on top of the Bupa Sheffield Shield table.
C.Rogers - 21* (31 balls, 32 minutes). R.Quiney - 25* (27 balls, 36 minutes). Unbeaten 1st wicket partnership of 48 runs (57 balls, 36 minutes).
