23rd Over
The XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls defeated the NSW SpeedBlitz Blues by 6 wickets with five sessions to spare at Allan Border Field. Thanks for following our coverage of the Bupa Sheffield Shield and we'll have more cricket soon.
Queensland 256 (Burns 64, Hartley 54, Khawaja 54) & 4/106 (Khawaja 54, Forrest 27*, Copeland 2/33) def. New South Wales 184 (Nevill 42, Feldman 4/47) & 175 (Gannon 4/61, Feldman 3/58). Points QLD 6, NSW 0. MOTM - Khawaja
Usman Khawaja has been named man of the match after a couple of strong batting performances. The Queensland fast bowlers were all very good while for the Blues Trent Copeland was the best of their bowlers.
The Blues lost Shane Watson to injury and had a number of players returning from Twenty20 mode. They were a bit off their game in this one but showed enough promise to suggest they will be competitive for the rest of the season.
The pitch appeared to be a good one for batting but no one could push on with a big score. The Bulls bowled a bit better, and were especially good on that first day, while a few strong batting partnerships were enough to seal the win.
The Queensland Bulls will be very satisfied with that victory, coming at Lunch on Day 3. They lost some key bowlers to injury and faced a very strong NSW team, yet have come away with a comprehensive victory.
P.Forrest - 27* (36 balls, 60 minutes), N.Reardon - 13* (15 balls, 15 minutes). Unbeaten 5th wicket partnership (Forrest/Reardon) of 19 runs.
Over 22.1: Copeland to Forrest, SIX, and there it is Forrest launches a huge drive down the ground to win the game! The XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls win by 6 wickets!

XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls 100 runs off 132 balls in 91 minutes.
Over 21.5: Hazlewood to Reardon, two runs, moves back in the crease and turns the ball away off his hip for a couple. Just 4 runs to win.
Over 21.4: Hazlewood to Reardon, no run, tries to win it with a swipe over midwicket and he misses the ball outside off stump.
Over 21.3: Hazlewood to Reardon, no run, gets forward and defends towards mid off. Lunch will be delayed and play can continue until 12:15pm.
Over 21.2: Hazlewood to Reardon, FOUR, great shot from Reardon flicking the ball off his pads through square leg, 6 to win.
