50th Over
Goodbye from the MCG!
Both sides now turn their focus back to the red ball game, with the next round of Sheffield Shield matches commencing on Thursday. These will be crucial for the Test players as a lead in to the First Test against South Africa at the Gabba.
David Hussey has been named man of the match for his match turning innings of 100 from only 78 balls.
As per the Tasmanian bowlers, the Victorian bowlers were quite expensive. Darren Pattinson came out on top however, securing 4/46 from his 9 overs.
Bailey and Cowan were the main contributors for Tasmania. To win they needed to at least make centuries and push on from there.
What a day of batting at the MCG - a total of 671 runs scored. Victoria would've been confident of securing a bonus point after scoring 6/348, but Tasmania fought hard all the way, going down by only 25 runs.
