20th Over
They are through to the final, and will play the winner of Wednesday's Second Semi-Final between the Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars. Join us for all the coverage of that match. Bye for now.
Ben Rohrer gave the Renegades some hope with a quick fire 42 off 22 deliveries, but his dismissal spelled the end for the Renegades. And despite dropping four simple catches, the Heat were always on target for victory.
And they got the job done with the ball. The Renegades got off to a fast start but continued to lose wickets once Alex Hales was dismissed. The run rate fell and the home side were always behind the eight ball.
They achieved it off the back of a man of the match performance from Luke Pomersbach, an unbeaten 112 to be the main stay of a formidable total of 3/183.
And so the Brisbane Heat, who scraped in to the Semi-Finals with an 8 wicket win in the final preliminary match, have knocked off the heavily favoured Melbourne Renegades by 15 runs to book a spot in the final and the Champions League Twenty20.
