20th Over
Tonight ends a poor season for the Sydney Sixers, after being domestic and World T20 champions last season, they finish this year in second last place and only managed 3 wins with 5 losses. Tonight was also the end for Dominic Thornley's playing days.
For the Sixers to make the finals they had to reach the target within 12 Overs and never really had a chance. The Melbourne Renegades look very tough to beat and won this match easily without the like of Aaron Finch, Marlson Samuels and Murali.
Exciting match finishes at the Sydney Cricket Ground, The Melbourne Renegades have won the match by 29 runs, thanks largely to Alex Hales who blasted 89 off 52 balls, smashing the ball all around the field with 8 big sixes. One sailing 111 metres.
