19th Over
That is all from the Big Bash tonight, goodbye for now!
Muttiah Muralitharan picks up the man of the match award for his outstanding bowling performance of 3/18 off 4 overs.
Adelaide never looked in the game from ball one with poor fielding which was backed up by an inconsistant batting display. Renegades now take top spot with this clinical win.
With the bat Rohrer (35) and Cooper (59) were the stand outs to get them to 155, while Murali and Samuels were the standouts with 3 wickets each.
What a clinical display from Melbourne today, a complete team performance with both bat and ball.
Over 18.3: Sheridan to Neser, one run, OUT, pulled away to the legside as they look for a 2nd a massive mix up occurs and Putland has been run out. Terrible cricket from the Strikers
Over 18.2: Sheridan to Putland, bye, played and missed but they sneak a bye
Over 18.1: Sheridan to Young, no run, OUT, giving himself room showing all three and Sheridan makes no mistake as he takes out middle stump!
18th Over
Over 17.6: Samuels to Neser, SIX, worked through mid wicket with power as he clears the rope as Sheridan nearly pulls off a great one handed catch in the process. ADS 8/105 (Neser 28, Young 3)
Over 17.5: Samuels to Young, one run, quick single to point
Over 17.4: Samuels to Young, two runs, cut away off the back foot for an easy two
Over 17.3: Samuels to Neser, one run, cut away to point for a single
Over 17.2: Samuels to Richardson, no run, OUT, trying to smash Samuels into next week and Richardson can only manage a top edge high in the air to point who takes a simple catch
Over 17.1: Samuels to Botha, no run, OUT, mistimed shot trying to go over cover but can only find Finch at cover who takes an easy catch
17th Over
Over 16.6: Muralitharan to Neser, no run, played and missed looking to finish his spell with a maximum but again he is too good for Neser. ADS 6/95 (Neser 21, Botha 31)
Over 16.5: Muralitharan to Neser, no run, hit well back to the bowler
Over 16.4: Muralitharan to Neser, no run, worked to the fielder on the legside
Over 16.3: Muralitharan to Botha, one run, reverse sweep to point for a single
Over 16.2: Muralitharan to Neser, bye, played and missed looking to hit big over mid wicket and Ludeman also misses that in the process
