16th Over
Well the match has just been abandoned. The Umpires have inspected things and decided to put everyone out of their misery. No Man of the Match award, given the result. So we're back Saturday for the 4th ODI. Catch you all then!
So things are still not looking good at all. Still quite wet and dark as well now. More news if things change.
3:15am AET - The rain has got heavier over Edgbaston. Minimum 20 overs required for a result so the players need to be back out by 5:30am AET (8:30pm local UK time) if the game is not called off before then.
Things still not looking good at Edgbaston. The BBC's Jon Agnew has just tweeted "Miserable day. Sorry folks. If it clears I’ll let you know. Doesn’t look good" That doesn't sound great does it?
Still plenty of rain about - more updates as we get them but things not looking real flash at the moment
To add to the bad news, the radar shows there is a load of rain to come - so expect a decent delay folks. More updates when we get them
