MATCH RESULT: Commonwealth Bank Vic Spirit 0/99 (Lanning 51, Cameron 31, Pyke 0/18, Burns 0/8) df. Cripps Tasmanian Roar 4/98 (Ryan 41*, Price 31, Wyatt 1/14, Smith 1/15) by 10 wickets. Points: VIC 2, TAS 0, POM: Meg Lanning (VIC).
That's all we have for you here at Camberwell Sports Ground, the Spirit girls winning both Twenty20 matches this weekend, while sharing the points in the WNCL match yesterday due to the washout. Thanks for your company. Bye for now!
Meg Lanning batted superbly again, a half century off just 36 balls, well supported by Jess Cameron who scored a quick fire 31 off 20 balls. They hit the ball to all parts in an unbeaten 68 run stand to guide the home side to victory.
Their win has been soured though, with the injury to Ellyse Villani. It looked like a hamstring but we've been told it might be her knee. Either way, she'll probably spend some time on the sidelines.
An easy win for the Commonwealth Bank Vic Spirit here at Camberwell Sports Ground, they've won with all wickets intact and 37 balls to spare!
