MATCH RESULT: Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers All Out 237 (Finch 71, Maxwell 50, McDermott 4/30) df. XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls All Out 225 (Reardon 53, Hopes 39, McDonald 5/38) by 12 runs. Points: VIC 4, QLD 0. MOM: Glenn Maxwell (VIC).
Thanks for your company this evening. The Bushrangers sneaking home for their third win on the trot. So long from the MCG.
In the end though, he went for one big shot too many to hand victory to the Bushrangers. Andrew McDonald claimed five wickets and Glenn Maxwell had a superb all around game to keep alive the Bushrangers' hopes of a finals berth!
And when Steve Paulsen went two balls later attempting to clear long on, the Vics looked home! But Cameron Gannon had other ideas, clubbing three fours off Herrick's last over to give the Bulls a chance.
The run chase stumbled early but James Hopes and Nathan Reardon combined for a 79 run stand to wrestle the advantage back. They were well on track until Michael Neser hit one down Glenn Maxwell's throat at deep mid wicket.
Another thrilling contest between these two sides to back up the amazing finish in the Shield on Monday. It came right down to the wire with the Bushrangers getting up!
