And that is it from the MCG, the series drawn 1-1 and we now look forward to the Commonwealth Bank Series beginning here on Sunday when Australia and India meet again, Hope you can join us then. So long!
Ravindra Jadeja was named Man of the Match for his excellent bowling and fielding performance, with 1/16 with the ball and two run outs, including the crucial run out of Aaron Finch.
The bowling was a tad too short all night from the Australians and their fielding wasn't the sharpest either, but their total of 131 was always going to be tough to defend.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni came to the wicket see his side home and he achieved that, albeit struggling to get there, needing just 3 runs from the final two overs and taking 10 deliveries to reach the target.
They started the run chase steadily, ensuring they didn't lose any early wickets. Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag put on 43 runs for the opening wicket, with Virat Kohli joining Gambhir to add a further 54 runs for the second wicket.
They did it tough in the finish, almost limping to the line as they struggled to get the one run needed for victory. It took them six deliveries to get it.
So India get there in the finish, and win their first match of the tour, winning by 8 wickets with two deliveries to spare.
