20th Over
Aaron Finch named man of the match for his blistering innings at the top of the order as the DEC Victorian Bushrangers begin their title defence in style. So long from the MCG!
Solid 3rd and 4th wicket partnerships weren't enough to get them back into the game, and the wickets kept tumbling towards the end, the Bushrangers winning comfortably.
The XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls' run chase stuttered from the start, import Michael Lumb failing with the bat, and they were always behind the eight ball when Chris Simpson fell cheaply.
Finch and Hodge got the ball rolling with the bat, blasting 98 for the opening stand in 10 overs, the middle order keeping the run rate going for a big total of 188.
That's a perfect start for the DEC Victorian Bushrangers and a comfortable win in the finish in front of almost 30,000 fans here at the MCG, their 10th win from 10 Big Bash matches at home.
