That concludes the coverage from the Sheffield Shield Final. Thanks for joining us. Goodbye from the MCG!
DEC Victorian Bushrangers 305 (Wade 96) & 8 d 581 (Hussey 168 White 89 Boyce 6/181) defeated XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls 257 (Broad 82) & 182 (Carseldine 75 McGain 4/70) by 457 runs. Man of the match: M Wade
Its been a wonderful domestic season with the DEC Victorian Bushrangers the Weet-Bix Sheffield Shield and the KFC Big Bash Champions, with the PKF Tasmanian Tigers the Ford Ranger Cup Champions.
And the Victorian team now runs in with excitement to loft the Sheffield Shield into the air, before posing for many photos as champions.
Cameron White now presents a speech as the victorious captain, before each of the players and coaching staff receive their medals.
Chris Simpson has presented his speech to the crowd on behalf of his Queensland team, who finish this season as runners up.
Matthew Wade has just been announced man of the match for his crucial 96 in the 1st innings, 20 in the 2nd innings, and his three catches.
A magnificent display by Victoria in this final. After looking very shaky at the start of the match, the Bushrangers secured their position of dominance in the final with a very solid team effort with the bat in the 2nd innings.
Both sides are now gathering in front of the Members Stand for the official presentation.
The Victorian players hug in a tight group on the pitch and claim souvenir stumps as a momento of the victory. Hastings misses his chance to claim a hat-trick, but no doubt he is satisfied with a Shield title instead!
Due to his calf injury, James Hopes will not bat in this 2nd innings. Knowing this, the Victorian's celebrate in the knowledge they have claimed this Sheffield Shield. After Over 58.4: XXXX Gold Queensland Bulls 182 all out (C Hartley 29*, C Boyce 0)
